Miscreants and Blackguards

There is much to be said about the beauty of the soul
Glorious, untouched, pristine white
And yet there is something about imperfections that make us human,
The spirit stronger- the flaws make us mortal

They make us see that the world will have you one way or the other
Let the toxicity of it seep in, revel in your vices,
Let it corrupt you from within and rot your insides...
The world will have you one way or the other
The follies of human nature will have you one way or the other
Cherish this moment- where you let go of perfections and perceptions
Celebrate all that is ugly, all that is dark
Realize that humanity lives on in you,
But now you are really human...
The world will have you one way or the other
Embrace it and let go...
